Good News: Gender and Race Change Function Coming to Blade & Soul [KR]

This week, the Korean server of Blade & Soul is going to get a highly-anticipated function: gender and race change. It can’t be bought by Blade and Soul gold. This function may probably require some cash, but the exact amount hasn’t been revealed yet.

Last month, the Chinese server of Blade & Soul also announced the gender change function, with a gender changing card to be released this year. Currently there is still no word on this update for the western server, and I guess it may take a few months before it happens. By the way, the western server of Blade & Soul is just going to get the Silverfrost Mountains expansion. Don’t forget to try the new features on March 23rd.

Gender and race change are among the most wanted Blade & Soul functions. NCsoft had noticed this and they are preparing the implementation of this two functions on the Korean server this week.We can assume that based on their “popularity”, these two functions will probably come in exchange for a fee. Now, that the Korean version of the game will get them is just a matter of time until these functions will be available also for the western players.

Blade & Soul: Can We Adapt to Frequent Updates ?

Blade & Soul obviously had a greatly delayed arrival to the western regions but does this mean that we want to receive the updates at a much faster rate?

Plenty of players have managed to play Blade & Soul in the past on Asian servers, but I am well convinced that there are also many who decided to wait for the official western release. As frequent updates, players are with more demand for blade and soul gold. We have already received the Warlock class update with just a few months after the actual release, and now, the level cap increasing Silverfrost Mountains Expansion has also been announced.

It currently feels slightly like NCSoft is trying to make up for the delay by pumping out all the updates from Korea at an extremely fast rate. I don’t know about you guys, but I personally like to explore a content fully and I can imagine that players are struggling to max out anything if by the time they are half way, another update makes the previous one quite useless.

My opinion here, will probably be opposed by those who have played on Korean and Chinese servers because they have already seen most of the things that are currently available on the NA and EU servers, but as I mentioned earlier, there are many players for whom this is totally new stuff.

Currently, for me, a level cap increase after just a few months into the game, seems slightly early, but perhaps it might be a vital step due to the amount of balance fixes that the expansion will hopefully bring. Are you guys satisfied with the rate of updates in Blade & Soul, or is it perhaps slightly too fast to handle? For more information, please go to http://www.bladesoulgold.net

Silverfrost Mountains Dungeon Preview of Blade & Soul

The upcoming expansion introduces eight new dungeons to the game. With the upcoming Silverfrost Mountains expansion we’re introducing eight exciting new dungeons—five Expert (blue), and three Heroic (purple). While these will present a significant new challenge for even the most highly trained martial artist, the rewards will be even greater, providing new weapon and accessory upgrade progression paths, Soul Shields, and cosmetic rewards.Do you prepare enough bns gold for the new content?

Below are brief overviews of the three Heroic dungeons being introduced in the upcoming Silverfrost Mountains expansion.

Awakened Necropolis

A demonic invasion has been sealed inside a city’s walls, and the demons have been making coordinated escape attempts to spread their vile influence. The demons are rallying their forces once again to smash through the blockade, and it’s up to you to help the Soul Wardens keep them under control.

Battle through a horde of undead to face the Unholy Jiangshi Demon, then you’ll need to split your team up to simultaneously defend separate Demonseal Cores from waves of demons, and finally enter the Necropolis itself to face the Scorpion Queen.

Lair of the Frozen Fang

In the northern parts of the Silverfrost Mountains live a tribe of savage monsters called the Jomu, who kidnap humans to serve as slaves and blood sacrifices. The Jomu worship the Tetralisk Queen as an ancient deity, and are attempting to empower demonic snakes to let them escape their frozen captivity.

Fight your way to the first two bosses Godem the Fist and Jarakhan, and then challenge Court Lady Sa. Next you need to take on Chuchu, a large winged boss that will summon miniature yetis while you attempt to defeat him. You can choose what order you take on the final two bosses, but you won’t be victorious until you defeat both the Bladescale Naga King and Tetralisk Queen.

Avalanche Den

While the Yeti in the Silverfrost region have been known to kidnap the odd villager from time to time, the Angler Yeti is a special case as it uses illusions to lure victims into its clutches. This has posed a particularly dangerous threat to the locals, and it’s up to you to stop the Angler Yeti and keep it from capturing any further victims.

The Avalanche Den presents a number of unique obstacles, including cavern fungus and giant snowballs that you’ll need to dodge to avoid being grabbed or knocked down. You’ll need to use snowballs to knock the first boss, Mighty Chubarro, from his perch to defeat him. The final boss, the Angler Yeti itself, will attempt to freeze and smash any of those attempting to stop its terrible reign.

Blade & Sou: How to choose your starting race?

NCSoft has finally brought its hugely popular MMO Blade and Soul to the West,
with the developer hoping that it will garner a similar level of success on these
shores as it enjoyed in Asia. With it achieving 2 million concurrent players in
the region early last year, a higher number than has been achieved by the likes
of World of Warcraft, it certainly has the potential to become the next big thing
in the genre.Whatever you choose which race, blade and soul power leveling can
help you level up soon.

Due to Blade and Soul’s unique combat system, which employs combos, contextual
abilities and other such deviations from the typical MMORPG format, you may be a
little confused as to which class will best suit your play style. With that being
said, here’s a guide to picking your starting race and class in the game:

Races

There are four races to choose from in Blade and Soul, each with their own
selection of three classes. Race does not impact upon your character’s stats, so
feel free to choose the one you like the look of the most, or that has access to
your favorite class.
Here are the four classes, in no particular order:

Gon

Appearance: The Gon are a freakishly tall race who tower over the majority of
both enemies and other player-characters. For those who want to quite literally
look down their noses at their rivals, the Gon are a good choice.

Description: In their day to day lives, Gon move and speak at a calm and measured
pace. This deliberate pacing was started to help nullify the other Gon trait:
their famously short tempers. With their massive frame and incredible strength,
little can stand in the way of these mighty people once a Gon has been moved to
anger.

Available Classes: Destroyer, Kung Fu Master, Force Master

Lyn

Appearance: The Lyn are a small yet fiery race, distinguishable by their
diminutive stature, pointy ears and bushy tails. If you want your character to
look like Yoda, bouncing around his/her enemies whilst dishing out damage, then
the Lyn are the only way to go.

Description: The Lyn are known for their somewhat unpredictable nature. During a
single conversation, it is not unusual for a Lyn to convey a multitude of
emotions, including hatred, fear, jealousy, love, and respect.

Available Classes: Summoner, Force Master, Blade Dancer

Yun

Appearance: The Yun are a solely female race, characterized by their “otherworldy
beauty” and their worryingly lengthy legs. If you want to stomp around Blade and
Soul’s world with legs as tall as skyscrapers, then go with the Yun.

Description: “Dignity is key to the Yun, and while they are able combatants, they
balance their time spent fighting by teaching and meditating with others.”

Available Classes: Force Master, Blade Master, Kung Fu Master

Jin

Appearance: The Jin are the only reasonably proportioned race in Blade and Soul,
and as such are the race that most resemble humans. If you want your character to
look as

Description: “Jin people are often friendly and considerate with a strong notion
of right and wrong. Their warriors are often found traveling the continents,
helping the needy by working selflessly wherever they were needed.”

Available Classes: Assassin, Blade Master, Kung Fu Master

In-Game Player Comparisons of Blade and Soul. And It’s Awesome!

While some games offer the ability to see what other players’ stats are, what gear they have, etc., in most cases, these require an external site or a third-party one. In the case of Blade and Soul, however, this is built right in to the game, giving all of the information you need right there within the game itself. Along with this, it takes things much further than most games, allowing you to quickly and easily make comparisons not just of what others have, but also put them up against your own items. If you want to win the confrontation, you need bns gold to improve your weapon.

Opening the Character Stats

Opening a player’s character stats is very easy. You don’t need to alt/tab, go to a browser, or even open up an app. From the chat system, for example, just click on someone’s name and their stat window pops up within seconds. Included are all vital stats you might want to know, including things like:

. Equipped items

. Level

. Class

. Faction

. Server

. Soul Shield attributes

. All stats (attack power, HP, etc.)

All of these together give a very well-rounded look at the character you’re exploring, which is extremely beneficial for things like dungeon runs and PvP. Not only does it allow you to see what they have, but it also opens the doors to helping one another out with advice, as well as throws out a bit of competition.

Comparing Your Stats

With someone’s stat window open, there’s a button at the top that says “Compare.” Clicking this instantly loads up all of your stats in the same window (side by side), offering up a detailed comparison between your character and the one you’re looking at. Here, you can compare pretty much anything – the most beneficial of which is gear. If you find a player that does much more damage, for example, you can check out their items, compare them to yours, and get more information on where they were obtained at.it also works as a great way to gauge your own effectiveness in battle. For example, if you’re geared better than someone else of the same class and they are doing significantly better, it may be worth taking a look to see what you’re doing wrong.

Finding Other Characters

If you want to search for a specific character name (not one that is in chat, for example), you can do this through the same window. At the top, you can do a search for any character on the server, giving access to everything you need to know, anytime you want it. Furthermore, the listing also shows their alternative characters, so it works as a great way to follow someone’s progress in the game, on a macro level. And you can follow all those stats in the same manner.

Uses of the System

Generally speaking, there are two ways in which this system are the most beneficial: when preparing pre-made groups for something (dungeons, PvP, etc.) or when trying to evaluate how well you’re doing as compared to others. In the former, the goal should be to use the information obtained to see whether someone matches up with what you need. An under geared player is going to be more of a hindrance than a help in a lot of cases, for example, and that can lead to failure. On the other hand, keep in mind that gear does not necessarily mean the player is skilled and knowledgeable. Someone with great gear can be just as ineffective as someone with bad gear, so more information is needed than just what’s in the window.

Also note that you can directly compare items side by side with those that are of the same class, giving a clear view of exactly where you stand apart and just how much one item benefits over another.

Character Images

As part of the character stat page, each person can also take images of their own character to add to them. This image is static, based on when they saved the last one, such that it isn’t constantly changing as gear does. As a result, you’re free to find that perfect look, lock it in as the character image, and then not worry about equipping new items and losing that look. Do note, however, that the actual character look will change as normal.

System Criticism

As with any system that lets one player view another’s gear and stats, it leads some players to start being elitist. This system is no different, and is arguably a lot easier to fall into this trap with than most. It’s ultimately up to the community to determine who they will let in their parties, and that will be different from one group to the next. As a result, the important thing to remember is that while some groups may not be accepting of those that aren’t fully decked out, many still will be. And those should be the ones you hunt for.
